Visiting Lunar New Year Fair is a traditional event for every family during the festival. Having a walk will bring you good fortune, while turn through the roundabout-like entrance will turn your destiny to a good path.

Welcome gate is an origin of the consequences of reality, the reality articulated by flows and quantities. The Whirl symbolizes the gesture of revolving door and signifies the stimulation of fortune in hopes for better luck– walking in and out and clockwise direction. The 18,000 numbers of red ropes, inspired by Chinese Knotting, with a uniform length and systematic distribution express the sense of family unity during the joyful festival of Lunar New Year.

The gate is a light weight steel cantilever structure. All part of the gate will be prefabricated and only foundation forming, pole erection and hanging up of ropes will be carried out on site within one week’s time.
